Oyez Arts has no guaranteed income. Every day we rely on weddings, classes, events, and occasional grants just to keep the doors open. Yet we carry the full responsibility for maintaining this historic building — funding repairs, restoration, equipment, utilities, insurance, health and safety, and supporting our small, dedicated team.

 

We are working hard to grow and improve what we offer to the people of Altrincham. With your support, we want to:

• Restore our rooms so they remain welcoming for everyone

• Expand our small team to better serve the community

• Create safe storage for classes and activities

• Provide proper equipment for events and gatherings

• Refurbish our kitchen to support future growth 

• Begin a program of restoration of the building

 

These are not luxuries — they are essential to keeping this community space alive.

 

The paint on the walls is peeling, the beautiful wooden paneling in areas is damages and the furniture is worn out.  Without any financial support, we still need to update and redevelop the building so that we maintain and start to raise the standards of the building as:

 

• A town centre wedding venue where memories are made

• Free Groups to practice good mental health and well-being 

• Dementia coffee mornings that combat loneliness

• Affordable art classes that inspire creativity

• A heritage building at the heart of our town holding the town’s artefacts 

• A welcoming space where people of all ages and backgrounds come together. 

 

This building holds stories, friendships, creativity, and care. Once lost, it cannot be replaced.  Your support helps protect a space where community truly lives.
